There was no other way to repair it once the metal bit was bent out of shape. You will have to get the new part. brismodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18169335258762403261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2390135910400025884.post-14284802178183525772014-10-19T10:47:49.196+10:002014-10-19T10:47:49.196+10:00Hi brismod. The range hood is only a year old, so can I confirm that there is no 'natural' way to get this light fitting back in? Ilve just suggest to replace the whole thing? That being the case, the light fitting in the photo is broken, correct? Thanks for the info, I'm sick of (both) the lights dangling! And the wifey is ready to crack it with me : ) worricekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08723785576827424824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2390135910400025884.post-63344811155710582492013-12-14T07:19:33.035+10:002013-12-14T07:19:33.035+10:00What a bugger that the fan is broken.,. Shortly after I moved into my little modernist nest, I had a leak in the bedroom ceiling. My contractor had just started a major job, so I had to wait over the summer for him to come fix it, which was no problem, since our summers are very dry. He fixed it a couple of weeks ago, but now I'm waiting for someone to come out and texture the ceiling. And then there's the board that broke when a freak gust of wind tore down our patio sail. My SIL made the repair, but now we need to caulk and repaint. It's always something, isn't it?

Glad you found the replacement part for your range hood so easily and that everything is like new again.Dana@Mid2Modhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03055460107477850683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2390135910400025884.post-35922468370437123802013-12-11T16:49:44.101+10:002013-12-11T16:49:44.101+10:00Oh me too.
