Night time painting

Anyone would think Jason was a competitor on The Block with his irregular painting hours. He likes to start painting in the late afternoon for an hour or so.... For me, the dilemma is whether to watch a TV renovating show or watch him.

As a wise woman just told me via the magic that is social media, it is best to stick with the TV. At least you can shout abuse and pass on your two cents worth without any real repercussions.

Painting under the deck

And in other big news...I fell down the crack house side steps yesterday while it was raining. It was like someone pulled the rug right from under me and I fell flat on my back. Yikes, it really hurt. Thank God for my excess padding.

Today the bruising came out on my right butt cheek. It has to be the biggest, angriest bruise in the world. Don't look if you don't like people over sharing...

For someone who is shy about showing her face on the blog*, I'm totally at ease showing you my butt.

* The vote for my avatar is leaning towards a photo. I'll be getting a better photo to put up as my new profile  picture soon. Thanks for all your very nice comments...and you too Tom. xx

  1. Good grief that's a bruise!

Jason puts his shirt on, and you pull your pants down. It's a yin & yang thing.

  6. The man is a dynamo!
That is a most spectacular bruise and should be a valid get out of jail free card for all painting associated chores/ housework. Enjoy the TV!

  7. Ouch! and it's striped, how did you manage that?

  8. Tricia, the stripes are from bouncing down the steps a few too many times. It's still very very sore as is most of my body. xx

And I'm wondering what Alistair wrote...???! Ha!

  9. Ack, that's quite a bruise. At least you get to show it off and maybe make some folks blush at the same time. haha I like Jason's painting schedule, it seems so anti-painting (which I admire). Aren't painting projects the sort a person/couple has to get all amped up about, like 'oh we're painting this weekend and that's all we can do' and there he goes off painting like he's just building a model ship or something that time doesn't really matter for. Cheers to him

  10. Holy moley, that's a bruise! You should earn free tv time by the looks of that. Hope your butt cheek doesn't go viral.

  12. Yup, you're going to win "The Bruise of The Year Award" for sure! I recently had a fall, but a less spectacular bruise; I couldn't walk for two weeks! Enjoy youre recovery time? I suggest you use this photo as your Avatar till you decide on the 'proper' one... LOL

  14. You'll be needing a few new cushions now to ensure your comfort till you fully recover. Would you think you'd be up to momentarily abandoning the tv so as to choose some expensive ones online, using Jason's credit card? He's clearly too busy to notice.

  17. Dear God that bruise is spectacular. A few days old now - I hope you're not stiff and sore x

  18. Sorry - I just saw the date of this post. "A few days" is nearly a month - for some reason my RSS feed only delivered it today. I hope the bruise went completely weeks ago.
