Car trouble... encore!

Yep. The Peugeot is giving poor old Jason grief again.

The familiar screen of death flashed up on Jason's dashboard this afternoon.

"Engine fault. Repair needed."

And then the Peugeot shuddered and conked out on the corner of Adelaide and Wharf Street in the City. This is the third warranty repair and it doesn't include a factory recall when he first purchased the car.

I feel a double cab ute could be on the cards for our next vehicle. The Peugeot's days are numbered.

So I dedicate this Peugeot song to Jason. Seriously hilarious. I suspect it will be Jason's theme song. Click here.

(many thanks to Nick at Stop the 70s! for tipping me off about this audio clip)

  1. I am a dual cab ute driving mum. We have his and hers utes which works perfectly. Best car decision we ever made.

  3. I know how you feel. Our Peugeot is back for a 5th time in 7 seven months. Each time it is at the service centre for a minimum of 2-3 weeks, so we have barely driven it since picking it up brand new. Beyond over it. I wish you both all the best with your car and hope it can be fixed asap! Fifi x

  5. Poor poor Jason this is really tres tres terrible!! He paints and paints and all he asks for in return is a fancy suit and his pretty car... Life is cruel. I hope he didn't damage the suit in the breakdown. As an aside I follow nicks other blog klaused he is hilarious although I am yet to forgive him for coming to Brisbane to do stand up and I didn't find out till after the show ... You and I could have been his Brisbane fan base ha

  6. Time for a German made saloon arrangement Jason. Mr FF was scared too- he was afraid it would make him look and feel old but that car is comfy and importantly does what it is mean to- works. Good luck x

  7. Katherine, hilarious! And I can't believe Nick was in Brissie doing stand up? No way. I would've gone to see him too.
FF, Jason and I are in deep discussion re next vehicle. German reliability has been mentioned a few times...

  9. A Mercedes-Benz 300 S Class with a midcentury interior: that's what I say. Maybe a little cocktail bar in the back.

  10. I feel your pain. Honestly, I don't know why people get so excited about European cars, I've only ever had bad experiences. My last car was a new VW Beetle that was on a tow truck three times in a year.

After that, I googled 'most reliable car' and bought a Honda. Love it.

  12. I still associate Foux Da Fa Fa as a theme song with Jason from one of your earlier posts. We have very boring cars but if I ever daydream about having a nice car, it is always German. Hope it is sorted out soon x

  13. Ekk! I hope you can give the car back or something. Sounds like a lemon. I'm especially commiserating because I spent 3 hours broke down on the side of the street (terribly TERRIBLY hung over) in the hot sun this past weekend. Serves me right. But Jason prob didn't deserve it...not with all that painting he's been doing.

  15. That thing is serious! I would put it smack into the middle of my edibles garden so there would be some structure there instead of just a big odd space! Gosh, it's really beautiful.
