Maundy Thursday

If this evening was going to be our last meal ever, then it would most certainly be a disappointment because it looks like we'll be having bacon and eggs. Yes, I'm resorting to making breakfast for dinner... Brinner.

So, while we tuck into brinner we'll gaze upon this wood carving of another Last Supper which I found in a garage sale last year. I love a good Last Supper image.  (These dudes aren't having bacon and eggs though, ha!)

It's no Da Vinci, but you have to admire the person that took the time to carve this version.

This Last Supper resides in our dining room. Apt really.

Have a safe and Happy Easter. We'll still be around and about this weekend tackling a few jobs on our to-do list. Pop in if you have time.

  1. That is impressive work, I akways wonder how scultpors cope if they accidentally chop something off, something they needed?
I have to tell youI was inspired by your weiss bar the other day and bought a pack myself. How divine! The flavour is an absolute sensation!
    Have a peaceful easter x

  2. yeah we had brinner the other night. same deal. personally, i think i'll get concerned when it gets to dry weetbix status. bacon and eggs is still pretty lush!have a great long weekend darl and may the to-do gods smile on you. I have loads of stuff around the house on the list too - just wish mine was more of the home improvement type rather than the clean up the feral mess type : )

  3. Brinner. Now you're talking! I grew up with lots of carved religious iconography inc. cathedral-sized crucifix. Even this last weekend my poor niece was giving said crucifix the second-glance. I squeezed her hand as if to say, 'it's okay. It's just stuck on the wall and if we both walk out of the backwards there's nothing to fear'.

  4. Bacon and eggs sound good to me any time of day. Brinner sounds like a winner! Can't wait to see what you accomplish this weekend.

  5. I'm always partial to a bit of wood carver. My lovely friend gave me a couple of beauties from Samoa and Ron and Brian came through with a couple as well. My favourite is a Daisy Duck from the 60's. Your Last Brinner is poifect for the dining room. Fish on bread could be perceived as grinner- kippers anyone?

  6. That seems cryptic but I spell correct doesn't like "brinner".

  7. What's up, I desire to subscribe for this blog to get latest updates, therefore where can i do it please assist.
