I do believe Jason was born to paint...house-paint that is.
He's out there every weekend painting up a white storm. This morning he's alternating between two sides of the Sow's Ear.
The picture below is Jason painting the roof gable on the sunroom side of the Sow's Ear. He's already painted the weatherboards below the flat roof he is lying on.

Also in alarming news, the readership of this blog has dropped dramatically during the winter months. I told Jason this sorry fact and he's attributed it to the lack of shirtless photographs of him on the blog!! (He's such a narcissist.)
He's assured me that the shirt will be off once again in the warmer months, for his true dedicated fans. That's only a few weeks away. Bring it on!

Jason can't sit still, can he? I've only just noticed how nice your roof is and now I'm very jealous! No holes, no rust and gutters that work. I dream of such things...
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, I know. We are very lucky. It must've been replaced well before we bought the house. And no leaks!
ReplyDeleteJason is a painting legend! I think he is smart painting the outside at this time. In summer even shirtless it would be so hot up there and just think how impressed Mr Rooney will be when he returns, xx Katherine
ReplyDeleteOh I meant to ask what is the verdict on the little decoration thingy...can't remember what it is called..finial? on the roof ? The timber thing that sticks up on each peek. I thought you hated them ?
ReplyDeleteKatherine, yes, with a passion! And only because it was put on the house to make it colonial style. But I've been out-voted and told to get over it. So I will. xx
ReplyDeleteJust think what'll happen when Jason takes his shirt off painting the front of the house..riots will occur and girls will swarm the front yard!
ReplyDeleteHa! I imagine, we'll have to get security guards to protect him, Carol... xx
ReplyDeletehehehe, you crack me up.
ReplyDeleteI guess it makes sense to paint outside during winter.
ReplyDeleteMy husband would probably paint non-stop too if it meant he could escape the mayhem.
And I can't believe your readership's dropped!

I can't wait to see the end result :)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to look sooo amazing when it's all done.
ReplyDeleteKeep the white storm going!
Maybe you should Have a shirtless button in your
Sidebar so readers can get a winter warming fix?
Cheeky I know but might bring the crowds back?

We have been busy paiting the pergola this weekend. Perfect weather for it. Jason is a bit of a painting legend. If he ever feels the need to do more then I am happy to give you our address! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe end is nigh well thats what Jason is thinking.Tell him not to take his shirt off for my benefit unless he really wants to lol
ReplyDeleteWhen you are finished with Jason, could he please come and paint the inside of my house. We will need him in about 2 months so it should be warmer and he can come sans shirt.
ReplyDeleteMy brother is down one house painter since my nephew, who worked for him, was hit by a car earlier in the year. Apparently good, neat & reliable painters are extremely hard to find. If the GFC hits harder, you know where Jason can earn some extra dosh ;-)
ReplyDeleteMY HUBBY JUST DID THE SAME THING TO OUR HOME. WHITE WHITE AND MORE WHITE AND I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteciao bella

I can't believe your readership is down! You have a great blog, a gorgeous husband, the wonderful Mr Rooney, and a beautiful house. People must be hibernating.
ReplyDeletewow, i need to find myself a jason. Even with shirt on they're still pretty handy to have around!!
ReplyDeletethe painting looks simple, but beautiful.great work.
ReplyDeleteYou're a brave woman to even look at your blog stats! I avoid mine now because I get too affected by them (I'm in need of a life). I just go on the basis that I'm waffling on to myself, family and a small handful of stalwarts.
ReplyDeleteYour house is looking good - I'm looking forward to some side by side 'before' and 'after' shots, if you do them.
