Great minds think alike...or fools never differ...
Just around the corner from us there is a house which is being spruced up. I'd never really noticed it before, but it caught my eye as I was driving past it the other day.
They have cleared the bushes in the front yard and you have a better view of the house from the street.
This house has the same colour scheme as the Sow's Ear. I think their brown is more mission brown (reddy tinge) rather than Dulux peppercorn rent (poo brown with a green tinge).
I was under the misguided impression that they copied us and were devotees of Fun and VJs.
You know, like they were inspired by our painting journey as chronicled in the blog. Ha! After a quick Google maps search, it seems no. The house has always been white with a dark trim.
Maybe we were subliminally inspired by this house...?
At any rate, it's good to see other white and brown houses in the area.

White house with brown trim |
I wonder if they'll paint their front door and stairs... |

I bet a secret league of international bloggers is operating from that house. It's probably Jacqueline of Home and Meredith of Count It All Joy giggling to themselves as they fool us with their parallel lives. I bet you 10 dollars. Yes, a whole 10 dollars.
ReplyDeleteMise, I could see the Blogger Mafia operating from there. Probably brewing more than just cups of tea...baking truly psychedelic rainbow cakes...
ReplyDeleteDid Jason take notes on the placement of the scaffolding under the gables. Spooky!
ReplyDeleteGo knock on the door.
ReplyDeleteI bet there's a mother, father and three lads living there ... and a builder who comes over to visit all the time.
It'll be bizarro-Fun&VJs world.
Annie, that house would be a comparative breeze to paint but it is spookily similar to our house.
ReplyDeleteMMMC, we're going to sit in wait one day for the bizarro family. If I see work boots and go-go boots at the door, I'm going to shoot to kill. xx
