We've finally chosen a shade of orange to paint our back door.
The door will need a couple of coats of this colour in an exterior gloss.

It's Dulux Bright Delight. I picked up a sample pot the other day and I'm confident that this is the colour.

Orange is either a "love it or leave it" colour. We clearly love it - a cheeky burst of colour on the mainly white exterior.
But we are just keeping it to the one door at this stage.

The orange looks PERFECT. I am such a fan or orange, though. I am biased. But I think it looks great with the rest of your home - it suits.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot, and it'll be perfect with your bright white. Maybe you could incorporate a few vivid light blue cushions for even more zing?
ReplyDeleteloving it, seems a perfect choice. great shade. xx
ReplyDeleteI love it and I'm not even an orange person. My hubby is now painting but he's keeping his shirt on. ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! I love it. It's a really nice shade of orange and I think this makes all the difference. Ange
ReplyDeleteI've been following your for a while now but have never posted. I'm doing up a Queenslander for myself at the moment as well, and I actually do design work with Garth Chapman Queenslanders who build traditional homes. And, funnily enough, I just did a post about colourful front doors! Love that shade of orange you've picked, gorgeous cheerful colour!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!! Can't wait to see the result.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Anita. Will look amazing on your home.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of getting a shirt in that colour.
ReplyDeleteFunny - we have the decorator coming this Monday to paint our front door and we've yet to decide on colour. Guess what? We're feeling inspired!
ReplyDeleteDiggety dog your house is cool. I can see it in a magazine spread in all it's glory, with blurry people. You know the type?!
ReplyDeleteColour's a funny thing. I love orange, MONT hates it, so much that whenever I pull out the orange shoes I have he grimmaces.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't stop me wearing them though.
The door will be wonderful in that shade. It's not everyone's taste, but not everyone likes my choices either. That's what's so good about decorating. You do exactly what you want when you want.
