Compliments of the season

Poor old Jason is painting the car port this holiday. As you do.

The car port has the last bit of heritage colours which we are painting over. It will finish off the entire fa├žade of the Sow's Ear. When that is complete a happy dance will be performed.

Here are some shots  of the progress Jason has made during the past two days.

Jason painting the gutters of the car port. Crazy white guy thinks he can go shirtless in summer...Anyway he wasn't up there long and it was late afternoon as the heat of the day was fading.

Jason is hoping Santa paints the rest of the car port for him as his Christmas Miracle.

It really is a sh*t of a job and the main reason we have delayed doing it. Anyway, it will look fab when it is finished.

And just to reassure you that it's not all work, work, work....see Jason in the image below catching 40 winks...

Christmas Eve dinner with all my favourite boys, Jason snoozing in the top right.

So we will still be hanging about in blogland over the Christmas period, so check in to see what we are up to.

Hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas. Take it easy, have fun and stay safe this silly season.

  1. Maybe Jason will get a troupe of painter elves for Christmas. He has been a good boy. Your table looks lovely too. Merry Christmas!

  2. Have a great Christmas, all of you.
And take some time out to enjoy the sunshine (grrrr..) and the Silk Purse.

  3. I know you'll be glad to have the last of the painting done. Everything is looking so good!

We're going to be doing the final clean-out of the storage building/workshop, because the workers will be here Wednesday to demo the interior and start breaking up concrete in the carport. Yay!!!

Hope you and your guys have a wonderful holiday season!

  4. Poor old Jason, he deserves a nap. Your table looks lovely. Merry Christmas!

  5. When is it officially no longer the Sow's Ear? Merry Christmas!

  6. I'm up before everyone else (courtesy of those uncouth birds out there) and popped over to wish you, Jason and the boys a lovely Christmas. I hope Jason gets a day off and that his paintbrushes don't call him, Siren like, from the shelf. And for you - I hope you have whatever day you wish for. X.

  7. Are those dining chairs Parker? I have the lounge.

I'm always in awe of how hard your darling hubby goes on the renovating.

  8. I can't believe how much you are getting done! Have a great Christmas!!

  9. we had a xmas eve dinner too, cant think of eating today! hope you guys have a lovely xmas xxx

  10. I am getting worried that Jason is going to have some kind of midlife crisis/shirtless breakdown when all that painting is finished. Where to next or is he just going to wander aimlessly around Bunnings without any paint to buy? mel x

  11. Mrry chrissy to you guys, hope it was a great one xxx

  12. Wow, what a task! He well deserved his shut eye before dinner :)
